At the forefront of tourism education
We develop tourism education with an open-minded, needs-driven and experimental approach to ensure a competent workforce for the field. Our exceptionally close collaboration with the university’s social sciences, art, design and environmental education as well as with the university of applied sciences’ business, service and nature resource disciplines enables us to offer fresh and innovative study modules for students.
Each of the university degrees we offer has its own special strengths: the university studies emphasise sustainable tourism research and design, while the university of applied sciences’ studies centre on the development of sustainable tourism. The educational collaboration between our universities in the field of tourism offers various study paths for students, in addition to more extensive study contents and more diverse career opportunities. Furthermore, we also collaborate closely with the university and university of applied sciences’ other disciplines in the context of tourism education.
Our students are free to advance their knowledge and skills according to their own interest by completing studies at the other university, for example on conducting research, business sector collaboration or special themes related to tourism. Diverse and flexible studies, diverse teaching methods and contents as well as working life networks that support learning guarantee an inspiring study environment for students.
