Research and development in the universities

Research in the Unversity of Lapland focuses in particular on responsible tourism planning, inclusion, multicultural coexistence and cultural sensitivity. We examine the sustainability of tourism activities in contexts such as hospitality, diverse environments and co-operative learning and action.

The focus of sustainable tourism and competence development at Lapland University of Applied Sciences is on creative, experiential and smart solutions in tourism. Our special expertise is the new luxury in the changing environments of tourism.
